I'm Karen, and I am a photographer.
Welcome to my little place on the web! I am a happy gal who just happens to be a hopeless romantic. Yes, I am that person that is in LOVE with love. I enjoy living in a small town with my sweet husband David (who I call Guy), our daughters and our fur-baby, Wheatie.
I love Jesus and enjoying the simple things in life. There is not a beat I won't dance to or a song that I won't try to karaoke or at least sing harmony. I love fresh flowers, cheese, chocolate covered strawberries, the beach, sipping tea in the evenings, traveling, tackling DIY projects with the hubbs, and spending time cuddled on the couch binge watching Netflix or Disney movies.
Photographing weddings and portraits makes me one very happy lady! Weddings or portraits on the beach, at a vineyard, in a garden, or historic venue make my heart sing!
I am passionate about capturing honest moments even in unexpected places. I LOVE the ethereal light that comes late in the afternoon. I am drawn to romantic, and pensive moments but am even more drawn to heartfelt outbursts of laughter. Creating genuine images of sweet moments is why I am a photographer.

This man is my rock. He is my best friend and comedic relief. He keeps me centered and keeps our family's eyes on God. He is my most trusted advisor, technical guru, and personal chef. He serves as my second shooter for weddings even though I only pay him in kisses. He hates haircuts and would run around in an old tattered flannel shirt every day if I let him. He is a real country boy (wait till you hear him talk!) with an honest heart who prefers whiskey over wine.

It really is true that "not all who wander are lost". I grew up in a small town with dreams to see the art and places I saw in my history books. After graduation, I joined the Navy to serve my country and get to travel the world. I am always ready to pack a bag and go on a new adventure. My absolute favorite cities in the world are New Orleans and Paris. The people, food, art and culture are such perfection! If you are getting married or eloping in either one of these cities; call me right now and we will work it out!

The guy and I LOVE to entertain and have family and friends over. While we love the entertaining, we both hate doing dishes! We usually trade the kids a cupcake or meal out for dish duty. It's a win for everyone!

I absolutely LOVE to create costumes for myself and my family! I grew up doing musical theater so these days I like to do anything that I can get away with dressing up for. I rather enjoy the hunt for the different pieces and crafting my own costumes. I particularly love Halloween and Renfest but am seriously considering Comicon next.

I grew up surrounded by fresh flowers because my mother has such an ability to grow them. I LOVE to bring her garden indoors and place the blooms on the mantel.

My mother's garden roses are always in first place. I love peonies. I know, big deal — who doesn’t?! And give me eucalyptus all day, every day, and I will style the hell out of it with your wedding stationery.
I have a serious weakness for beautiful shoes. Please wear beautiful shoes on your wedding day so I can photograph them!
I love french fries with honey. Hey..don't knock it until you have tried it! HEAVEN!!
I super heart chips and fresh salsa..hands down my favorite over sweets anytime.
I love special touches like pretty linens and chair rentals and deliberately mismatched table settings, but I also want you to relax and enjoy your wedding day instead of fretting the details (and maybe have a dual on the dance floor — I love to dance around you). We include a complimentary engagement session to all of our couples. We use this time for you to get comfortable with us and for us to learn more about you as a couple. THIS is how we get those sweet and romantic images you see on the site. By the time we get to the wedding day, our couples are familiar with us and the poses. We LOVE romance but we also love to cut loose and have fun! I think our couples all think the same thing! We now offer a photo booth as crazy amazing as our clients! It is a must have for weddings, bridal showers, or any event. After all... who doesn't love a photo booth? We have rigged up an awesome open-air booth that uses a high quality DSLR camera and great lighting. We bring the props and you get to have fun!

As much as we would love to shoot every session and wedding out there, to be the best for you; we can only accept a limited amount of weddings and portrait sessions a year.
